Diego López: "I'm really happy with what we Valencia CF players are contributing to the Spanish national team"
The Valencia CF forward is through to the U21 EURO quarter-finals
Already acclimatised to Russia, the Valencia CF squad got their first encounter with the Krasnodar Stadium this Wednesday, just over 24 hours before their huge Europa League game. Only Daniel Wass had previous experience at the stadium, constructed in 2016 and where he played with Celta Vigo two seasons ago.
Temperatures of around 2ºC and light rain greeted the players, but the pitch remained in good condition for the squad's training session.
Also present were the ‘Peña Valencianista Rusos’ Supporters Group, of whom some 60 members will be watching Thursday's game. Hailing from Moscow, Belarus, Ukraine and Kazakhstan, they will cheer the team on in their quest to reach the quarter finals.
